Renaissance Denver Hotel to Host Park Hill's First-Ever Block Party

Free, family-friendly event on September 25 brings food trucks, live music and Denver city partners to Poplar Street, with hopes of an annual tradition.

DENVER, CO, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- As Park Hill welcomes fall, Renaissance Denver Hotel & Conference Center will host the Park Hill Renaissance Block Party on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 3 to 7 p.m. on Poplar Street between East 38th and East 39th Avenues. The free, family-friendly event is the neighborhood's first block party of its kind and is designed as a proof of concept for a recurring fall series.

The afternoon will bring together four local food trucks, live music from a DJ, a licensed bar, and family entertainment including facepainting, balloon twisting and henna. The Renaissance Denver Hotel expects approximately 300 guests, including city officials, Denver Park Rangers, Denver Fire Department with truck demonstration, Denver Police, Park Hill residents and local business leaders.

It's a chance for Park Hill residents to connect with the city services that support this neighborhood, from Denver Fire to Denver Police to our Park Rangers, in a setting that's fun instead of formal," said Peter Engard, General Manager of Renaissance Denver Hotel & Conference Center. "That kind of familiarity builds trust, and that's exactly what we hope becomes an annual tradition here."

The event is part of a broader effort by the hotel and the City of Denver to create active programming within the Quebec Corridor of the Park Hill neighborhood. This free, accessible street activation creates shared public spaces where legacy residents and newcomers mingle and build a stronger sense of shared community pride.

Confirmed food truck partners include: Dos Manos Food Truck, Moninis Kitchen, Frankie Bosco BBQ and Arepas Caribbean Food, alongside a beer and wine garden operated by Peak Beverage Catering Inc. Proceeds from this are being donated to support Prospect Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
